Zanzan Zazou Sunglasses
By Stoic Magazine | September 22nd, 2009 | Category: STYLE | No Comments »Designers Gareth Townshend and Megan Trimble draw their inspiration for Zanzan from the sub-cultural style of the 1960’s and early 1970’s. The elegant designs are based on the eclectic styles of Italian beatniks, the cinematic elan of the french new wave and the psychedelic samba out of Rio De Janeiro. Made in limited numbers of 100, the French handmade sunglasses are fitted with Carl Zeiss lenses and framed in the highest quality Italian hand polished acetate. Each frame comes with a handmade gold embossed leather and suede lined case. Our favorite is the Zazou model. Zazou were the greaseball kids of war torn Paris united by their distaste for oppression brought by the Nazi/Vichy rulers. Their hedonistic ways, love of jazz and coolness helped shape their uniquely defiant and individualistic styles.
